Hi all,

For those of you who saw my thread I was looking for a cheap companion for my mare, I hoped I could get one I could take out hacking that didn't bomb off or buck or rear...

Bailey is all of that and more super chilled and loves hacking. Not lame or any problems he was just too strong out hunting for his previous owner who was only 5ft2" (Bailey is 16.3hh and a real chunk!).

I tried him last Saturday (shamefully in a really fragile hung-over state) and he was good as gold for me and I came back from the ride feeling less hung-over lol! I knew there and then he was the one for me...

Well enough chatting... here he is he's a 13year old drop dead gorgeous Irish Sports Horse, I'm in love already. (I think Izzy is too!)

He's so sweet when I went to see them this morning he wickered at me and trotted over :D

So if you are very lucky in this current market it is possible to find a cheap or free "dream horse"... I'm just hoping he stays the super chilled boy that he is!

Can I ask how you found him? My friend is looking for pretty much exactly a Bailey for her hubby at the moment, they have been searching for ages and not managed to find anything at all!
 
Thank you everyone I can't quite believe my luck either!

Brightbay - I found him on Horsequest, but I basically scour horse adverts every hour of everyday! I replied the moment I saw the advert. Honestly though it's just pure luck!

Gracie21 I really do feel like I've struck gold with him he's such a sweetie and my girl really seems to like him too.

I cannot wait to get him a saddle fitted and start hacking on Salisbury Plains!!! Eeeep so exciting.

I feel like the luckiest girl alive I think it's such a kind thing to do if you can afford to rehome your horse for free and IF you find just the right home for them. It's like the best gift EVER!
