Baileys Lo Cal Balancer

I am thinking of using this for my horse and just wanted to know from those who use it what they thought about it.

My gelding is at a nice weight and I don't want him putting any more on, he is a good doer and has at the moment 9 hrs out at grass is ridden about 6 times a week quite hard. He is fit and well.

I am now reducing the amount of hard feed as the grass is now coming through and he's on ad lib hay when in the stable, I have taken him off haylage to avoid any weight issues.
My thoughts for using this is to give him all the nutrients he still needs without the weight gain and hopefully maintain if not improve his condition. I would feed this along side chaff in his night feed.

Any thoughts would be great.

Its fantastic. It keeps my good dooer warmblood in brilliant condition without too much weight gain. I feed the recommended amount of this for his body weight plus some HiFi lite. He's never looked better coat and condition wise. Energy levels have been good too.

I use this for my mare, she was very over weight when I bought her in Sept and over winter she was on a diet, she is now at a nice weight but lacked sparkle about a month ago so i introduced baileys lo-cal she looks great at the mo (i know spring grass will help) and it seems to last a long time for her size I only feed a mug morning and night and I have hardly made a dent in the bag. (I don't work for baileys by the way!!)

Thanks I was just wondering if it would retain his energy levels compared to a mix, he too was very overweight when I bought him last August and no way do I want him looking like that again.

I think I will get some and see how we get on with it.

I use it for my very good doer but also feed tiger oats to keep her energy levels up, i don't feed the oats at the recommended amounts, just give her what she needs to keep her happily ticking over

I feed it to George who is a 16.3 tb shire x and he does really well on it, he only has the lo-cal and some hi-fi lite along with his hay and grass. He never seems to be lacking in energy and his coat and feet really improved on it.

Yes, I feed it to my fatties, and they look really well on it. It's half the price of top spec too, which helps!

i started mine on it two weeks ago, see my post what do you think on his weight/condition on page 1. you will see the difference it has made at just one cup a day with a handful of dengie hifi light!!

Thanks everyone, I have a bag in my boot waiting to be tried out later, I am going to take some pictures a before and after to see if I can see any difference.
