Our horses and ponies are on a very limited, forage based diet of a very small amount of fast fibre & chopped straw, plus 100g linseed, oil & salt. I'm just wondering about adding the Bailey's lo-cal balancer to this.

Does anyone use it or have any advice, good or bad about it?

Ditto the above. We used on our little cob-type and it was fabs stuff. He was a good doer but on this he used event and his coat was always fab and his feet good.

Wonderful stuff.

Thought I'd try a mini comparison trial with the barefoot diet complete with balancers, Pro Hoof and later, Equimins etc. to see if it would be better for my horses.

Very disappointed and really noticed the difference, so returned to bailey's Lo cal. Won't be tinkering out of curiosity again, Lo Cal has suited all the horses I've had in the 5/6 years that I've been using it. Healthy coats and good feet are by far, more apparent with Baileys.

Its cost effective, easy to get hold of and the horses eat it.

I was having trouble getting hold of it in my area so use top spec balancer lite which is pretty much the same, my.horse loves it

Ditto Hogged Cob - always used baileys, but I switched to Top Spec Lite as his skin was not good - now he looks fantastic, has loads more energy and his feet are better.

Not all balancers are the same, you have to look at the ingredients carefully :)

I use this for mine in the winter when all are on soaked hay and some straw, this is the ONLY other feed they get. They all look tip top on it.
