I can't find the starch and sugar level for it, does anybody know? All I can find is around 10% for starch. Well if sugar has to be added on top it makes it above the 10% sugar and starch levels for laminitics. Also I'm not convinced by some off the ingredients on the list.
Can anybody help

According to info I found on The Metabolic Horse group, its 2% sugar and 10% starch. http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/TheMetabolicHorse
It might be worth joining this group as I've certainly gained a lot of usefull information, I'm sure they recommend Lo-cal as a suitable budget balancer and I happily feed it to my native ponies who have both had laminitis in the past.

Thank you very rosiefell I shall take a look but I'm after the lowest sugar/starch possable so am now thinking alan and page range? L mix which seems to have 4% starch

Going by the list I've seen I think you're probably right. My trouble is I have other factors to consider as one pony has sweet-itch so I don't feed mixes and for some reason they both like to choke on chaff despite teeth being in order so it was the most affordable option for me!!! Good luck, I know my head spins with it all sometimes!!
