How suitable is this for a 7yro who will be lightly evented and worked quite hard. She is already quite hot at times so how fizzy does this make horses? :/ I can't go to Allen and Paige because she won't eat slop..

I love it. It keeps the weight on my young anglo and its never fizzed him up, hes very sensitive and sugarbeet etc is a big no for him! But hed bin on no 17 since he was two and its fab! if your horse is fine on cereal based feeds (my luso isn't so this sends her mad!) then i would definatly recomend!

Well she's currently on countrywide pony nuts - we did try on their mix with no apparent difference whe there were no cubes left but cubes were cheaper. I just know that the nuts won't be beneficial enough to event so i think i will see if anyone else tries and if not then i'll go with that - Forgot to add she a skinny Welsh D.

Might be worth looking at No 6, this is much lower in starch, and has a higher oil content then the No 17, so not quite as heating.
