Just wondering what you pay for a bag of the above? out of interest really!- the last couple of times haven't been able to get hold of the Spillers ones that I norrmally use so I have been getting Baileys no 4- and can't believe how much feed prices have gone up- I paid £11.25 a bag- is this normal(?) ( I'm in Sussex)!

Free! Hooray - aren't we lucky - we won a competition for one of our horses to be fed by Baileys and after a lot of trial and error, Baileys put him on this feed - didn't know it cost so much. We certainly can't complain then.

We've got a local store who are currently do the option of three bags for the price of two. Think we pay around £9.50 a bag (Surrey) although I don't pay as my YO supplies.

Many thanks to all of you for the info- much appreciated- maybe 11 pounds a bag isn't too bad then I suppose- but it seems they are cheaper everywhere else- maybe I'll have to buy in bulk or shop around!

Penniless- weren't you lucky winning a competition! how handy was that!

Thanks again!

WAY to much, our feed shop do their own and i can tell you he looked just as good on them as he did the baileys, difference was £3 a bag!!!You pay for the name,as you do everything else

I couldn't agree more!!- I'm seriosly thinking of buying the hard feed in bulk and thinking of changing brands- thinking of swapping everything to Saracen who I believe *may* be cheaper and just as good!- anyone had any good results of feeding these feeds?

[/ QUOTE ] Very lucky BUT how do I afford to keep him on it once the time it up for our winnings?

i stopped feeding nuts / mixes as the prices got so stupid. I've now adjusted my feeds and now using Topspec balancer and even my mare who weight never stays on is lookign better than ever (so is my bank balance)

However we are so lucky that hubby is a farmer & sells his straw & grain (and worked there last summer) to Dengie crops which allows us to buy the distressed stock (we live 2 min down the rode from them) i wont tell you how much i pay for the products, lets just says it's silly money
