Balance support reins

Hi all,

was looking at a pair of balance support reins for my 4 year old on her Shetland
The are pricey !!!
Has anyone successfully done a DIY version ?

surely it’s just holes punched in a normal pair of reins & some side reins ?!

They do seem expensive but they do seem to work, I’m a big fan of Kizzy and Etties pony adventures and I know they use them.

Would a pair of Rein-bows work for your 4yr old, they’re a fraction of the price.

Lots for sale second hand on the various FB lead rein showing groups, they are frequently for sale on the groups x

If you get them, let pony pull down for grass and check the saddle doesn’t flip up and go forwards due to the pressure on the d rings. We have to use a crupper with anything like that!

They do come up second hand if you keep an eye out.
