Balancer causing horse to wee more?

Hi all, my horse has recently started to wee more than usual.
The only change (diet, routine etc.) is the introduction of a Top Spec feed balancer.
Could this cause increased urination?
Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Is the balancer slightly salty, causing more drinking.

Ah, could be. She hasn't been drinking noticeably more water than normal in her stable though. She's only in from 8am (when she has her one daily feed) till 3pm... so maybe she's drinking more in the field.

Could be the increase in protein. Most balancers are high in protein and it's the kidneys that process excess protein.

That's my view too. It's too high in protein & your horse is excreting it.

Thanks for the advice. I opted for the light balancer but maybe it's still too much for her.
Should I cut down what I'm giving her (the recommended amount) or not feed it at all do you think?
