Just wondering if I start my veteran on A senior balancer or carry on with the prohoof and msm, any thoughts? He is already on Top Chop lite, is 16 good doer and barefoot.

If you feed manufacturers recommendations of TopChop then he should be getting his full spectrum of vit/mins. If not, then he isn't with your other supplements, so a balancer would balance that out for you, plus provide a quality protein source.

I don't think you'll find a different balancer which has a better specification than Pro Hoof (there are a couple of others I like, which are Blue Chip and also Dengie Alfa A balancer - the reason I like the spec of all these 3 is that they have around 1mg of organic selenium per 500kg horse, and also they don't have very high levels of zinc or copper).

So personally I would stick with what you are already giving, unless something about your horse has made you think it's not working for him.

Top Spec Top Chop Lite does not claim to provide daily vits/mins, so I would carry on using that in the way you are. ie as a carrier for the vits/mins you are adding. I wonder if khalswitz is confusing the chop "Top Chop Lite" with the balancer "Lite"?
