My local feed place sells Marstall Force balancer loose, it works out pretty cheap. Like the Feedmark Slim Aid you just feed a small scoop and can feed it my hand if necessary. I did switch to Top Spec once (I think it was Lite) but my mare's legs filled so I wanted something lower protein.
 
So I’ve gone for fast fibre, with the laminitis balancer by top spec, much cheaper so far ok but only been a couple of days.

I tried forage plus before which just got kicked everywhere in fury.
