Any advice - my boy is 15 and a good doer, out at night and in during the day - on very good grazing, just having a handful of happy hoof when he comes in and diamond omega. Just wondered if anyone is feeding a balancer and which one as they all sound as if they work miracles!!
 
Hi. You dont say how he is condition-wise? I tend to think if it ain't broke don't fix it! What about him are you wanting to approve/achieve? I know a few horses who have gone loopy on balancers so it's not something I would rush into, although I'm sure you'll get lots of helpful suggestions in here to help you make your mind up :)
 
Baileys Lo Cal Balancer. Brilliant stuff. Gorgeous shiny coat. Never fizzy on it? Beautiful condition. I have good doer and he loves it. Can be fed on its own so no need for anything with it
 
I really wasn't sure about balancers but thought would give them a try my lad is on top spec cool balancer and is doing very well - lovely shiny coat and a nice weight.
 
I think they are great for good doers.
Mine was on spillers performance balancer over winter but I've taken her off that for the summer and put her on selenevite supplement. Just as good and she looks amazing.
 
Baileys low cal or spillers lite balancer. However if good doer and has a chaff like the happy hoof, I might Just go for a vit and min sup like equivit or feedmark.x

yes good point! he is a bit overweight but looks well. would like to improve shine on coat - appaloosa, and make sure is getting all the things he needs vitamin and mineral wise and also something for joint support now he is getting older
