Hello all, I am hoping for some advice,
The silly mare is going bald on her face - she looks all dry and scurfy on her skin and her hair is falling out, but just on her face. I have tried washing it with hibiscrub but this has not helped. She was having the same problem in September when we got her but then it resolved itself - we thought she was lacking vits and mins and that it resolved itself when she was having proper feeds. But it seems this is not the case!
Any ideas what it could be? It doesn't seem to bother her, she scratches, but she always does that. I keep saying if she was a human I would moisturise her, but can you do this to horses? Would it help? And is there such a thing as horse moisturiser?
Thank you, looking forward to hearing any ideas!
