Hi,

So I have recently moved house about 3 months ago. Now its not a huge Cul de sac but has around 20 houses and everyone has a dog (including me) now I've noticed that the majority of them go to the field opposite have a fling of a ball and that's its for the day, now is it me or have they made some people lazy about taking there dog for a walk?

Mine have a walk once a day for at least 3 miles and are running around the yard all day, my neighbour said they get walked too much now I have 2 Working Springer's I couldn't believe it! I smiled sweetly and walked off mumbling a naughty word under my breath!

We have an open field just behind the house, with loads of footpaths across the land. I sometimes take our 2 onto the field with the ball if I'm stuck for time (i.e on my lunch break from work) but this is always in addition to a proper walk/run, not instead of it. There are lots of dog walkers around here but everyone does seem to walk rather than just stand in one place!

Lots of people use them as an excuse not to walk very far, so sad that their dogs don't get the mental stimulation that going on a walk gives them. Your dogs are very lucky to have such a good owner !

I often use the ball thrower for ten minutes if I am going out or the dogs are going to be in the car for a while it gives them a blast and they love it .
It does not mean they don't get walked .
