Well Blossom is now sporting her new toe extensions, and full of muscle relaxant to allow her tendons to stretch out. She is looking a little sorry for herself though so I imagine she is feeling weird despite the bute.
She is going to be re assessed in three weeks by the vet and farrier but at the moment they are both being guarded about the eventual prognosis. Fingers crossed everyone please! Fortunately as she is a miniature I wasn't planning on an eventing career for her so long as she is sound enough to be a beloved pet pony for my children I'll be pleased.
I would like to praise the farrier John Suttey who did a terrific job on a small scale, if anyone can bring her round it'll be him!!

fingers crossed for you!!!! xxx

My colt was born on tip toes and then appeared to be getting worse and I was told endless horror stories that there would be no hope so I decided to leave it to old mother nature and forget about the problem.
BUT I'm pleased to say that mare starvation and a bare field works wonders and I now have a very huge normal colt who is coming up to 5mths old and if you did'nt know, you'd never tell what he was like, must admit when he was little it was not nice seeing him do swan lake at full pelt around the field.

It is so nice to hear stories where everything has worked out, as you can imagine I have had many sleepless nights over her. She has got to grips with her flipper feet now and is beginning to look happier, she even chased after the goat yesterday, but I guess time will tell eventually.
