I have always used HorseHage in the past but am considering changing to a larger bale make to cut down on costs etc.

I saw the Ballie haylage at the BD champs and though it looked good but just wondered if anyone else uses it.

If so, are the bales a consistent quality? Is there much wastage? Are the bales wet or dry?

Any comments welcome.

Thanks

Yes it's very good stuff and I have used them regularly for many years.
Always good quality and I've never had an 'iffy bale that my horses won't eat. They are professional horse haylage producers so not just a farmer doing a side line. They do different protein levels too so I feed a higher protein and cut down on the hard feed to save overall costs.
I would say it's a mid-wetness haylage ie not like silage but not dry like hay.
They have always delivered promptly and have a good forklift so you can put it where you want on the yard.
Oh, and they will take 3 cheque instalments if you buy a mega load and need to spread the payment !!!
Hope that helps

Do they deliver all over the country?
I was looking at their site and they look like a really good supplier but then I saw location not so good when I live in Devon! I do have some storage space but could only store about 20 large bales at a time.
Does anyone know a good supplier in Devon?
