Hi
This is sort of the wrong time of year to ask this but it's never any harm to buy rugs out of season. Are Ballistic Nylon Rugs actually better than the polyester ones? Given the price difference you'd expect them to be.
And if ballistic nylon rugs are better can you lot recommend a good one with a liner system ( and that comes in navy but that's secondary!) I know about the duo and i think premier equine do them too??
Thanks :)

Yes premier equine do them and I love them.. I bought my pony a whole new wardrobe from Premier equine and they have all lasted me years and she used to be awful for destroying rugs. Premier equine definitely do navy, they might have some winter ones in the sale on their website at the moment as they do a lot of out of season sales

Yes, ballistic nylon is better. I often use Horseware rugs on my horses as the cut fits them well (all fine built horses). One has the Horseware duo and it's a great rug and is quite a few years old now and still going strong (I bought it when they first came out). I did buy the 100g liner too which makes it more adjustable.

Thanks :) I'm now torn the duo ( have admired a friends) though seems expensive compared to the premier equine? Where for the same money you get a full set of liners too, which can be used under stable rug too ?? Is there a difference??

The build of your horse will be the main consideration. None of my horses fit PE rugs (two arabs and an anglo-arab) as the necks are cut too big and they are also cut too deep (plus the one I tried leaked terribly and was so, so heavy when sodden, but I was unlucky there as they normally have good reviews). If you have a chunky horse, then you will want a more generous cut.
