Balloting is bad this year

Never known BE this busy. I'm on the wait list for Belmont and I've just found out I'm on the ballot list for Larkhill along with 200 plus people. Can't remember ever being balloted out of two on the trot.
Won't get a run till Sapey now which is a month away

Why do we pay expensive membership fees for the privilege of being balloted

Annoying as with a full time job I find it impossible to offer to help as well.
Excuse me while I grumble. It will prob be a very hot summer as well and the ground will be baked so I won't be eventing then

It must be the reduction in age to 12yrs old making the membership pool bigger
