Gentlemen,

I am sure some you may be aware of a certain thread en'tit'led - Boobs are a pain which seems quite popular atm. I figured I'd start a similair one regarding support in the gentlemens area.

As I am sure you have all come across at some point when your balls make short sharp contact with the pommel due to an unorthodox jump or mishap it is one of the most eye - watering, kicked in the kidney feelings you can have.

There seems to be a distinct lack of alternatives from tighty whities. Personally I use Equetech boxer shorts but they arent the best. Any suggestions which are slightly more high tech than a wad of toilet roll?!?

Ben

Dear Ben,

I have a solution, it involves a scalpel and a pair of bolt croppers and sedation:eek: I had it done to my foal who is also called Ben He now has no trouble with his balls :D:D;)

You could sit on one of those blow up pillows for travelling - you know, the ones that go round your neck, only in this case you could dangle in the gap so to speak... Just make sure your rising trot is nice and soft, or you may get the whoopie cushion thing going on...

Ladies,

Many thanks for the offers of castration (declined) and your other slightly impractical solutions ("remain in walk", where is the fun in that!)

I have not attatched a video as, unsuprisingly, I do not have a video of said issue, however if any company wished me 2 trial some for free I would be willing!

As I'm new to these boards I had imagined there would some be lads out there ... anywhere ...! For the sake of future little Bens I implore you to come forward!

Ben Scott

A fair point Brontie, however being an occasional crash test dummy 4 youngsters doesnt always allow me to ride a classical position!

I was just generally wondering if anyone knew of anything to help keep certain things more in place than my current boxers!

Hi

My OH was advised when this delicate question came up to try two pairs - a pair of supportive boxer shorts with briefs over the top.

Hope that helps!

ooooh this will def cook your swimmers so no "little Bens" ;-)

Rugby player father says jock strap, jump jockey husband says wack your jerks up to keep your boys back off the pommel and back protecter strap will also elevate the..... ahem area

I know of someone who felt a little "uncomfortable" one day driving away from the livery, only for the feeling to become more "acute" in the Gentleman's area during the course of the journey. Poor chap drove himself straight to the local A & E, only to discover a "torsion of the testicles". Basically, the plums had twisted over themselves, swollen, and couldn't twist back. 12 hours later and an emergency operation, involving a cosmetic "ball lift" to prevent re-ocurance, said chap has never had a "Gentleman's problem" again - and his wife is chuffed as chips, with the new youthful sacks!

:eek::eek::eek::eek::D:D

PMSL - I know, I shouldn't, but still..... :D:D:D

I'm not a fan of boxers, I find they leave everything too 'loose'. I wear a snug pair of Y fronts that keep everything nice and comfy (not the same pair all the time you understand). Even on a silly pony with a propensity to fly bucking and rapidly changing direction at a canter / gallop, I have remained safe and sound for several years.

As for cosmetic plum surgery.....

Many years ago, a lady came to me to request a "Boy's saddle", I tried to explain that all saddles were equally suitable, but she was insistent that she had seen a saddle designed only for men. I was, at this stage, quite confused, and she seemed embarrassed, however, it transpired she had seen a saddle with a full 'cut back' head (something you don't often see today), and imagined that it was to accomodate her son's 'family jewels', perhaps he was generously endowed?

LMAO!

I have nothing useful to say at all, but it is very funny!

However, what about a cricket box? Or maybe try ladies pants, that might squish things together a bit more.

Husband swears by fairly tight stretch 'trunks' from sports shops -not terribly attractive, but then I suppose my big knickers and sports bras aren't either.

He likes them so much that he has taken to wearing them on long journeys and on flights, just in case LOL

They must be so inconvenient. You would think they would be designed to automatically move out of the way when they sensed danger (trauma, predatory female - also known as trauma).
In fact, design-wise, very little thought went in to the look of them as well IMHO :)

Oh dear, that has just creased me up! I choked on my chocolate mini-roll and nearly fell off my stool as well! Brilliant. Perhaps they were the last part of the male anatomy to be designed, and whoever the architect was just wanted to be watching Scrapheap Challenge re-runs.
