Hi All i just wanted to tell you how happy i am with my Balou 3yo i bred - i havent done a lot with her and she is very very leggy so im leaving her to break till next year

But i did decide yesterday to loose jump her which she has done a few times - she is very bold to start with so i put a filler underneath she stopped the first time then she came round well OMG she was so technically correct she dropped her head lifted her shoulders and threw away behind - all very loosly too it was fantastic to watch !!

so if anyone is thinking about using him do so - she has a lovely nature and attitude to stuff as well as a super jump !!

Cant wait till next year now i am very excited x

That's good to hear! We're thrilled to bits with our Balou filly (there's a photo of her in an earlier post). Have to say her temperament is absolutely amazing to!

Definitely having another one next year i think !! yes a lot of people say they are a little sharp but mine doesnt seem to be - YET ! x

We have 3 Balou fillies here and ALL of them without exception have great temperaments. Our oldest is 4 and just started her jumping career, and she has scope to burn.

We took this video of her at Weston Lawns last Thursday, it was the first time she had ever been away from home or seen a course of fences and fillers.

Our 3 year old has just starting off on her backing process and watching her loose jump, it looks like she is just as talented as her older sister

Our 2 year old is still playing in the field.

oh no i cant see any of this at work will have to look later at home x

I am lucky enough to work with a few Balou horses of riding age and see the man himself most days. I have been very impressed with his offspring and will definatly use him or a son myself in the next year or two.
