I wouldn't go as far as to say ban it, but I do think the jockeys should reduce use of the crop, less horses run at once and there should be some type of retirement home using some of the spare money to guide the horses though their eldery/retired days :)
 
I was peeing myself earlier (pretty literally - must learn better control) when reading this and just have to say, go ahead, ban horse racing. Not sure how the hec* your going to do it mind.
Oh well, we all have dreams - I want to get to know that person who won £80+ M , thats my current dream!!
Oh, and I hope I didn't just feed it?
 
Although, I personally don't like horse racing (each to their own before you all hate me), if it was banned it would create a hell of a lot more problems than it does whilst it's going, what I will say is I would like to see more of the horses welfare being taken into consideration

get real girl, these horses are bred for racing, they are not "forced" to do so,having worked in a racing yard the horses there had the highest quality care and also TLC! i suggest you get more uo to date info. before making such comments and please do realise that horses and ponies in every equestrian sport risk their lives, not just in racing.
