Is it okay to use fleece bandages with no padding on in a stable over night?

My horse has gotten some stable sores he’s a big fan of laying down kicks all his bedding around. I’m gonna make his bed unreasonably big and have some PE stable wraps on order with next day delivery.

Is it okay to bandage legs tonight with just polo fleece, I don’t have any padding to go under them. I used to do a lot of bandages when working on a dressage yard so I’m not really worried about my bandaging skills. I think for one or two night with a fleece bandage it should be fine but thought I should check with some strangers on the internet because if I ask my old boss she may wonder why she ever hired me 🤣🤣 thanks.

I don't think you have to use padding underneath fleece bandages, I used to have some with a bit of extra quilt like material sewn to the bandage so didn't need anything else. THink it depends on the make as there are some that have it already attached.

I’ve used them without, but then I am competent at bandaging. If there’s any doubt you won’t get the pressure even, or they might be too tight or loose, then padding ensures it doesn’t matter so much.
