bandages

Might need to be more specific than that. There are many many reasons for bandaging a horses legs. Protection when traveling, support when injured or exercising, warmth in the winter for horses with arthritis or circulatory problems. Of course some people just think they look good when riding.

Is there a specific example you had in mind?

Support and protection for tendons etc then. Although a badly bandaged leg can cause more problems than it can prevent, if the pressure is uneven or the bandage is too tight.

Ditto Somethingorother, bad bandaging can cause serious problems. If it's for exercising, then I suggest you get some brushing boots

Yes, putting on bandages is an art, you have to wrap them fairly tightly, if you don't, they do more harm than good. If you're not sure then use boots ...

Is there a problem with Daffi that she needs something on her legs?

Instead of bandages why not try equilibrium stretch and flex wraps - they stock them in all the online places and most tack shops. The white ones look smart like bandages but quicker to but on and no worries about doing them too tight.
