Do people still use bandages for travel and exercise, stable, tail ?? I have loads in various colours, some new, others old which I’ve kept for poultice. Is it worth trying to sell or is there a charity who might want them, any ideas please.

I use stable bandages when the temperature is below -5 overnight, or if my pssm horse is cold/ wet.
He is thin skinned and much happier warm. I only use them in the stable, not for excercise or travel.

I have a set of thermatex stable bandages as a backup to leg wraps, though rarely use them as wraps are so much easier. Also have a couple of tail bandages tucked away if ever needed.

Learning to bandage is a very useful skill - would local pony club or riding school be interested in them as a teaching aid for practice?

use bandages on white legs after bathing, the night before a show if stabled. And when travelling whited legged ponies. If only small white socks I use white paste and travel boots.

Fleece bandages and a bread bag are good for wrapping taps to stop them freezing in winter too.

Where are all the matchy lovers! I’m surprised how many don’t use bandages!
I have several sets but only one I ever use! They only come out for old horse in extreme cold or to cover a poultice which is again very rare.

Thankfully the days of using your horse as a fashion accessory with no thought to the actual implications of that seem to be largely over. Bandages are of very limited benefit for exercise purposes but can be very harmful, so it's great that people are now using common sense.

That's very true, I am out of touch since my daughter stopped riding maybe. I assumed it was still a thing.
I remember once being mortifield when someone pointed out I had done matchy. Horse had a teeny cut that kept blowing up so I had used my above one set of bandages which happen to be pale blue and the pad that was already on my saddle- they were identical 😆 I was embarrassed
