Had Charlie's sarcoid banded by the vet last Thursday, i cant get the photos on from before or just after but these are the photos from today (4 days on). I've also put a couple of nice ones on just so you can look at something nice after seeing the horrible photos!

My horse Charlie had one in exactly the same place a few years ago, it don't think it was quite as severe though. It fell of after a few weeks and he was left with the tiniest scar, its not caused him any problems since :)

poor thing, that looks huge, my horse had 3 on his sheath but no where near that size, I treated them with marmite which made them bleed so vet said to stop I think put NAFFOFF fly cream on them and something in that (garlic or tea tree) made them shrivel up and drop off also worked on the flat one he had on in his inner leg.

Hope it sorts itself soon

my horse was covered in sarcoids up in his groin area. We had them banded when we could, but then the vet suggesteda human skin cancer cream to put on but it has to be put on broken skin to allow it to absorb. It is prescription drug, if you get it from the vet it costs about £70, but I took the prescription to tesco and they filled it there, costing around £25. PM me if you are interested and I will see if I can find the tube for the name.

That looks painful. Very pretty pictures of him though!

My boy has one on his manhood but no where near as big. May try the suggestions above to make it better for him.

thanks everyone, i've been told to give it a couple of weeks and it 'should' fall off so i'll see how it looks then, i'm trying to keep taking photos for my own reference in case it comes back (fingers crossed it doesnt though!) so i can compare the size and look of it but i might be back in touch benson21 for the name of that drug.

he's being such a good boy, its catching a bit when he walks so he seems to be walking a bit john wayne styley at the moment! i think its just a bit bruised because before she banded it it was the sane size but didnt cause him to walk strange!

Out of interest, who said to put marmite on them ?

Hi
My mare had one banded on her belly last year and it looks just like yours at the same stage. It should dry up and fall off in the next couple of weeks. Good luck.

My boy has one on his eyelid, it looks about the same size as your boys.

We have waited so long for Liverpool to get back to us about what treatment that mt local vets have had to intervene.
Today they cut as much of at they could, this was still only half, its just to made him comfortable until Liverpool get back to us.
