Banning Fireworks Debate House of Commons 28 January 2018

Just received a letter from my local MP. Just refers to the fact some people enjoy them and some people don’t. There are curfews in place blah blah blah. How disappointing.

About time they were available for organized displays only. We had bad experience last year, not Guy Falk's but neighbours having party. The fire works were going off over our youngsters stable. He was totally frantic throwing himself off the walls. Fortunately he was unharmed, but stressed.
I could not believe how inconsiderate they were as they are surrounded by properties with horses.
We had no prior notice, and dread to think what would have happened if we were not home.
Dreading new years eve!

Can I suggest that you contact all of your neighbours and ask them if they are planning fireworks, and if so can they contact you so you can take precautions, and remind them of the Neighbour Principle in Civil Law - Basically that you should do no harm to your neighbours and their property and that they are liable should their actions cause harm that was reasonably foreseeable and explain what the effects of fireworks can be.It might make people think twice...
