Barb wire

I hate barb wire, I know it has a place in farming but it really is the most terrible fencing ever, I've just had to take my dog to the vets as she got her toe caught on the spike and was just hanging by it, made me feel sick, wont be walking her through those fields again, I have cleared my fields of barbwire when we bought it, how do you stop your dogs getting in the hedges?

We have a working spaniel his job is to go into cover etc , barb fences are ok if tight and well maintained ... But Morpeth of them aren't , or you get old barb chucked in hedges etc horrid stuff . Mum had a brittany spaniel get an artery in her leg severed by it so much blood
