Barbed Wire Worries

I've had mine in fields with barbed wire fences for many years. It is mainly three/four strands of barb with an electric tape running around the top. I've never had one injured on barb. Nor have they ruined their rugs on it. I never separate horses with barb fences as I think that can be a potential problem. I've had one get caught in sheep netting, fortunately she didn't panic and waited to be rescued, I had to cut her free with wire cutters. We have since got rid of all the sheep wire. The barb has to stay as it is the only practical option for cattle and the ponies share with them.
