Barbour Outlet

Just had a look. Not sure why an online shop should have a website address at .org? If you look at the contact us page you are linked to a gmail address and no phone number or postal address. I'd personally not be the first to give this one a go. If you read the 'recent news' thread that scrolls on the left side of the page, it reads like badly translated English... However, I could be wrong! Personally I buy my cheap Barbour stuff at outlet 'villages', so you can try before you buy!
 
There is a physical barbour discount outlet type shop, I got a nice show jacket from there. No idea if it's related to that website though, sorry :o
 
Doesn't look English to me. I can't find an address or telephone number listed anywhere on the site...it's always a good idea to ring a company to make sure you can contact them.

The delivery company link takes you to a Chinese site.

As far as I know there is only 1 factory outlet and that is in South Shields.

Buyer beware!
 
Gmail for email?

Def too good to be true! Anyone who sets up a website like that would at least have a pukka email address!

Steer well clear and visit one of the outlet shops (we have one at Freeport in Essex and I paid only £50 for my lovely hacking jacket!)

Thanks all for comments. I feel a bit stupid now to be taken in by such a site, and as HoHum points out there are loads of these sites all listed on official Barbour site.

I should know not to be so gullable, especially at those prices. looks like having to go back to save my pennies for the real thing!

Perhaps I will get to visit one of the proper outlet shops but they are all miles away from Wales :(
 
What are you looking for exactly? I have an almost new genuine Barbour sitting on a hanger behind the bedroom door. It's a lovely jacket but I just haven't used it more than half a dozen times, it's totally wasted here, same goes for a full length Toggi Stockman. PM me if you like.
