I dont own one but I tried one on in Skipton a few weeks ago. Cant remember the name but it was quite short (ended at about hip height), a nice chestnut brown colour, with a belt and two angled zipped pockets across the front . Very nice. Too smart for riding or mucking out really

Ahh okay. I think closer to winter I will have to actually go in and try something rather than just look at it online.
A couple of years ago I bought a wine coloured one - not the usual wax material but just looks like cotton with a padded interior. It is amazing I weather in every weather, everyday for riding and shooting and it washes beautifully. I was gutted when I got paint on the sleeve!
Always found a Bedale best for riding. This is the short one
that I think cobbden 99 refers to.
Has the studs on the bum bit for when you need to open it out & good, deep pockets.
Go and try a couple on at a stockists & then have a hunt on e-bay if you can't afford a brand new one.
i have a blue fitted quilted fly weight jacket that im wearing as a casual jacket, a brown peachy jacket for casual, and just got an olive 'bomber'? type jacket, for riding. all from the outlet store £20-£25 ish each
