I have a sole shot of the fight fore to see what people think. It looks to me as though the white line has widened and there is some bleeding and even a couple of exit holes at the front? I'm waiting for the vet to ring to say what time she can come right now. She now has a strong bounding pulse in the left front but not in the other feet. But her right front is not that comfortable either but nowhere near as bad as the right.

She has nail holes from the shoes and bits dremmled out of the hoof wall for the imprints which may be complicating the pics.

It is even clearer without the shoes how unbalanced her foot is, her heel on the left, in the sole shot, is taking more weight it looks as if there may be a corn?

Fingers crossed the vet has a poke about and loads of pus explodes out! x

Thoughts are with you, stay strong!! X

Need to make a correction. The bounding pulse is in the right foot (photographed) not the left.

Can they be really sore and cause severe lameness?

Thank you. I appreciate the vibes!

Yep, they can be terribly uncomfortable.

Fingers crossed

Thank you. I am kicking myself because I just weight taped her and she's gained weight - on hardly anything! Must be the lack of exercise. I have now cut out her afternoon net and she's shouting at me now.

Cross posted from the original thread:

Vet has been and is not sure. She thinks it probably is lami but she couldn't get a reaction with hoof testers, just like my farrier. She agrees she is too fat (my bad, I had taken my eye off the ball as she was getting so slim and fit being ridden, and then lost the shoe so not ridden). There is the possibility that it's all down to having so much hoof taken off for the imprints and then again for the metal shoes. But most likely low grade lami. She said not to panic. It's not very bad at the moment. To keep her in on two danilon a day and keep the hoof boots on her all day and night for a few days to see if things settle down. If not, do more xrays and test her again for IR (which she was negative for before). Cut down her feed more, leave her rug off whilst she's in (she only has a low chaer clip and the rest of her coat is really thick), and just hope!
