Having a few saddle fit probs at the moment and so got up early so there'd be no traffic and took the horse out hacking bareback

It was AMAZING! :D:D

He was a different horse, forward, energetic, attentive, and it was no-where near as scary as I thought it would be.

So, my question is, will the BHS public liability insurance still cover you if the worst happens?

My horse is very safe in traffic, well in all ways really, but dont want to chance riding out uninsured.
Thanks :)

I think not as you haven't taken all precautions to prevent you comin off- you could maybe get a bare back pad which may make your insurance ok, but would prob be worth giving a call and asking.

Thanks guys, have had a trawl on google and seems you're right, gutted, the saddler can't get to me until the 31st and we dont have a school :(

Could you lead in hand to any off-road hacking?

BHS will be able to advise what you need for that to be covered but I'm guessing horse being bridled is a good start.

Then all you need is something at the off-road part to get on from (unless you're good at vaulting :-))
