I'm thinking of getting http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLACK-Sue...331?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19c7e1a953 This.
I've heard that they can be quite dangerous and pointless, since it could slip and I've heard people say "Either ride bareback, or with a proper saddle". However, does it have any good points?
It seems like a good idea, especially if you get a breast plate to hold it in place.
It's also a lot of money just for "testing" something on a horse that isn't even mine. Has anyone seen any better/less expensive ones?
I would take the stirrups off, but I was thinking this is going to be my way of progressing to bareback, since I've never had the oppotunity for longer than one or two lessons every now and again. And the horse I'd try it on is as mad as a hatter!
