I want to try my boy bareback, just in walk. Do I put him in the lunge pen where he is spookier but it's only tiny OR in the school where he is less spooky but is much much larger....?

I'd say in the school 
could you just use a small part of it? When I first tried bareback on Ned, I was really nervous, so put a cone out to walk around. I mustn't have gone further than a 2m circle good luck!

School. Make sure you have someone with you when you do it because if you are a bit nervous then your horse might be spookier. Be safe!

I'd say school! I walk round on my boy in the field bareback, once i'm on he's great... It's the getting on I have issues lol

School. Could you ask soneone to hold him while u get on/ walk round with you?
Often ride loan horse bareback, he's quite nervous so tenses when I get on but once on he's ok, sometimes if he isn't being spooky we go for a plod in the field, the other day when the pond overflowed we cantered through that
