I'm so pleased with how they are looking so far, hopefully soon she will be happy on all surfaces!

Im no foot expert but I did take my girl barefoot 15 months ago and it is a long slog isn't it? What are your reasons for going barefoot? I had a number of reasons, various issues for lameness and a general run of not great farriers.. My best friend also has had her horses barefoot for the last 5 years so I had plenty of support :)

I don't have many recent pictures of my mares feet but she is due a trim later so I might get some then if the light allows..

It's good your mare is getting more comfortable, you do look like you struggle with concavity as do I but it is improving. Do you feel like you have the diet right now?

She had hind limb lameness, mild arthritis. The concavity is slowly coming, I think her diet is about perfect she has copra, chaff and pro balance. She also is not sugar sensitive at all which will make my life easier in the spring. One of my good friends went bf 3 months before me and she was a font of knowledge!

Looks like a fairly significant event line in your horse's hoof wall, and bruising on one of the soles - wonder what this is?
