I decided to buy these stirrups and thought I had ordered 2 pairs but realised the price is only for 1 stirrup so received 1 pair...How crazy is that...

Shirl

I got them from here..

https://www.horseandharmony.co.uk/barefoot-stirrup-90-degrees-2226-p.asp Uk company..I had just read your post from 2016 ( today) Like you I have small feet ( uk 2 1/2 - 3 ) Well annoyed as its going to cost another £100 ( leathers & stirrups )..
I never order anything from them. There is something wrong somewhere and you should contact them
You should have 1 pair( 2 stirrups) for £27.95. They are not expensive which is why I took a punt on them myself but went for the caged ones as you read on my old post today.:)
Not sure what leathers you need but I originally had Wintec Webbers( nice ) but then had to swap to Barefoot double ended Tbars. They are ok but way too expensive for the quality. ( I ride treeless just to clarify )

I will send an email questioning the price....I have just bought a secondhand Barefoot Cherokee saddle and thought the stirrups looked good as I am always fumbling to get my foot back in the stirrup. I also managed to get a barefoot special pad secondhand too...

Looking at the advert it does say stirrup. But I can't see why you would want one, unless you lose one or Barefoot are branching out into sidesaddle.
It's an offset with a nice tread.

If you already have leathers you can continue to use them surely? I just use standard leathers.
Tried the t bars, had the bottom buckle.

They have definitely made a mistake Shirl. If you look on any other site, this one for example https://www.barefoot-tack.co.uk/barefoot-stirrups-90-degrees-660-p.asp , it clearly states 'stirrups ' and I know they are that price for 2 not 1. Do H&H specialize in one legged riders perhaps?!
I have the Cherokee too so happy to answer any questions. :)

The advert and photo does specify one stirrup, but especially if that is usually the price for 2 and considering you would naturally expect 2, I would contact them and if they did not send another pronto I would send it back for a refund!

What I am pleased about is companies starting to realise that the old narrow treads are outdated.
These wider treads are so much more comfortable and support more.

Sorry (scratching head!) I'm a tad confused.

So OP you ordered a "pair" of stirrups, i.e. you were expecting, as anyone would, one for each foot, yes?, but only received the ONE stirrup, is that it??
I had ordered what I thought was 2 pairs ( one pair for me and my sis) So received 1 pair

I have not used the saddle yet! Hope it fits him...its a size 1..At the mo he is a bit of a naughty boy , not nasty but sometimes has nonsense when tacking up . Just back riding after a TBI in May after a fall...Having lessons in a lovely riding school and loving it ( on a school horse, not my own) . I will certainly ask you any questions that come up when I use the saddle.

You will have a nice deep seat anyway!!!!
Please do ask Shirl, getting things right with a Barefoot does take a bit of tweaking. Correct girthing would be high on my list and making sure the saddle sits level.
I'm sure the size 1 will be fine, you are a wee little thing if I remember correctly !
You say you have bought the correct pad which is excellent, if by chance it is the physio one you may not like it as they are super bulky and really only for heavier riders/ real problem backs.
Good luck tho Shirl and give us an update. Hope your naughty boy likes it. xx

It's not so much the type of girth , more the importance of where it sits in relation to the elbow
I just use a Wintec shaped waffle girth and it's fine. I think the Thorowgood is similar ? Another horse's girth may or may not suit, depends on the length!
To help you , have a look at Action Rider Tack here

Hope it works xx

Thats what I initially thought but looking on their website it says ''stirrup'', so I am now thinking they are sold as a single stirrup which I find bazarre..
They're not Shirl, honest. That is the price for a pair. They have a numpty working there or have made a genuine mistake. Contact Barefoot directly in Germany. Explain the problem. They speak English and will advise.
Or ask for a refund and start again from another site, the one I mentioned should send a pair , they have listed them as 'stirrups' and not 'stirrup'

Got an email back from Horse & Harmony . No phone number on their website ! Said they are sold in pairs and did I only get 1 stirrup in the bag ! I clearly had said in my email that I had purchased 2 pairs and only received 1 pair!. How hard is it to understand. Dealing with idiots methinks...
