No seriously, I have been living in NZ for nearly two years and now my visa is up, it's time for me and also my incredibly lucky TB to come back to the UK.
She has flat, thin soles and a long pastern, a front hoof that pancakes out and is a bit of a princess. I want her to hold up to competing and schooling and I really want her to be my forever horse.

The shippers said to travel her either freshly shod, ie no raised clenches etc or pull shoes. I took advantage of this suggestion, coupled with a lack of competitions and training here during the winter and she had her shoes pulled June 16th.

I've made an album that sadly isn't that chronological as my phone had a hissy fit recently so no dates, I am working on dating the photos.

I have had a barefoot rehab under my watchful farrier at home before, and think he is great but does anyone have any recommendations for trimmers in SW London, Surrey?

Or any thoughts on hooves.
 
Also to add I wanted to take her shoes off when I first bought her, and was recommended a trimmer who turned out to be a Strasser butcher, so am incredibly wary of off hand recommendations and also just really want the best for her long term.
 
NZ is full of Strasser trimmers - mine have been trimmed by one of them for nine years.

Good luck with you mare's hooves. There is definitely some work to do there.
 
Thank you, I've sent her an email asking for a tentative chat/ consultation.
I'm hoping that the larger fields and herd dynamics in the UK will suit her , both mentally and for her tootsies. I think I have her feed as good as I can get it, and she is walked daily on the roads or ridden in a grass paddock. The sand arena is too much.
