hi 4 years ago my mare was diagnosied with high articular ringbone which we have managed well for the past for years with only a couple of steriod injections and an excellent farrier.
unfortunatly now she has gone lame and the steriod injections are no longer working for her she has had her front shoes off for x ray and appears to have come sound without them the vet has recommended for her to stay barefoot and see how it goes.
i was just wondering if anyone else has experience with this and how it worked?
anything good or bad please

It can depend on where ring bone is. Ie is it on a growth plate (at the end of the bone)- or not? If not it may b possible to rehab if horse barefoot and balanced trim applied. Mine had side bone. Which has now completely gone due to remodelling. But every case is different. X
