Barefoot diet

I know its been done to death but at my wits end. My "diva" was tolerating his Thunderbrooks museli and haycobs and then stopped eating it. Now he's on Agrobs museli and weisencobs and has been on hunger strike for the past wk. I just need a feed to get his supplements into him.

I use Fast Fibre with mint and a small amount of oats. My fussy mare always ate it, and the others love it.

Bran. Does have a small amount of starch but more protein and importantly, it is cheap and they love it. If you need something damp, Rowan & Barbary Ready Fibre Mash is very very low in sugars, being mainly soya hulls (I just buy the soya hulls for mine) and soaks in 10 minutes. Or Equibeet (unmollassed beet pulp) or Speedibeet if you can't find Equibeet, it is half as much again but if you don't use a lot not too much of a problem.

I just use, handfull of bran, and handfull of fibrenuts.

I really struggled with mine for a long time, had to add in things that weren't good for them to get them to eat. Now they wolf down what ever I give them. I made several changes including moving to my own place but the most significant one was making the feeds up with warm water. Currently feeding varying quantities of copra, linseed, speedibeet and oats. Interestingly when I tried to make my own minerals up they went off their feeds again, apparently forage plus balancer is tastier then bioplex copper/zinc.
