Twinkle if you want people to understand what a good job you are doing with those feet you need to get down and dirty!!!

You need to lie on the floor and take the photo at floor level from side on. If you did that, then I think everyone would be able to see the positive changes that foot is making.

And even if it wasn't - he's sounder now than in shoes? So what's the issue if he has an upright foot? I think we try to hard to impose on horses our idea of what their feet "should" look like. If the horse is perfectly symmetrical, fine, but how many of us or our horses are perfectly symmetrical? So why do we think their feet should be?
 
OP - You can see the boxy foot looks ready to 'bloom' in the latest pic... :) and from the sole angle you can see a definite difference - well done :)


I have a TB with a boxy foot too. He's had shoes off 3/4 months, though first 8 weeks of that was spent with his foot in bandages because of an injury. We are only now beginning to see the heel growing in, it now sticks out like a little 'shelf' at the back, and when it finally grows down you can see the difference there will be in the size and shape of the hoof. It's fascinating...!
