I ordered this book yesterday and it has arrived this morning. My mare is barefoot so thought it would be good to read up on a few things and see if it can help us along the way.

This book is amazing and so informative I cant put it down which isnt good when your at work and supposed to be actually doing some work lol.

After flicking through, looking at a few of the pics and reading a few pages it seems my mares feet are in really good condition but I cant wait to take it home and read it properly and continue to learn all about barefoot and how it affects the horse etc etc..

This is a pointless post really but just wanted to share with any other Barefoot horse owners that is book is really good and definatly worth buying.
 
It's a great book.

Just note that since it was written, seaweed has rather gone out of fashion because it is high in iron and iodine and neither do barefoot horses any good in excess. You should not feed seaweed unless you know that your horse needs both those things added to its diet.
 
I really want 4pm to arrive quickly so I can get down to the yard and compare her feet to some that are in the book lol.

Her diet consists of Fast Fibre, Pro Hoof and she has half a scoop of Spirinula in it for her COPD and hay so I know she is on the correct diet.

George? He was a jumping machine :D I sold him to a friend and bought one the same but a hand bigger :cool: The cast is a horse boot - the doc would not give me one, so I bought a pair of Eskadrons and wore one of those instead, it worked a treat :p
 
I cant put this book down! Its amazing and i was telling a few girls down the yard about it earlier and saying how good it was and they have said they are also going to buy it.
 
I have just bought it this min! Thinking off keeping my boys shoes off so was looking for a good bible :P thanks op
 
Other books that are good is Horse Owners Gide by Jamie Jackson... Pete Rameys books.... Damn it... Just looked for them on the shelf an I have lent them to someone and I can't remember who!!! I'm sooooo annoyed right now...
 
After reading this book it seems that my mare might benefit from some Magnesium Oxide in her diet. Could anyone recommend the best place to get this from please.
