Horsey has been bare foot on the backs for a few years and copes well, here are side and sole pics - not the best as it was too sunny

Has now had front shoes off 3 weeks, sound on grass, school and road but stones are very hard going. Being feed a hand full of FF, a 30g scoop of biotin, joint supplement and yea sac. Is out on good grass during the night and in during the day for ave 7 hours with a section on hay.

So what do we think ?

Overall a lot to be happy about - love the short distances between point of frog and toe - BUT if you are seeing footiness then rethink the "good grass" bit :)

Also think about a more balanced mineral approach - something like forageplus might work well.

Lord, how I regret coining that "barefoot taliban" phrase :)

Everything is going nuts after a long cold wet spring - all the growing is happening in a concentrated period so the grass is very high risk. I've swapped to in during the day and out at night.
