I have been posting recently about a lameness issue I have been having with my ex racer which may be related to his last shoeing. He's a fairly typical tb with flat feet, low heels and sensitive soles although since being on a balancer the quality and growth of his hooves has seemed to improve. The last 2 days while my boy has had his front shoe off and I've been poulticing his foot he's been wearing an old style easy boot and this has got me thinking!! I've been talking to a friend this evening who's partner is a barefoot trimmer and she suggested I looked into having my boy go barefoot. Tbh I'd never really thought it would be possible for George to go without shoes but I'm beginning to wonder if this could be the way forward. That said I know that with the challenging hacking around me I'd definately need to invest in some boots, but which ones?

Depends on the shape of the hoof some fit longer hooves better and some round hooves.. would suggest you talk to trimmer first.. they should know the ins and outs of the many different boots available now..

I'm not a tb owner but I am in the process of taking my mare barefoot, so thought I'd reply.
I've recently bought Easyboot Edges for my mare and I'm chuffed with them! Have tested them through the stickiest of mud and they have stayed on perfectly and haven't twisted at all. The most important thing to bear in mind when choosing a style of boot is fit, making sure your measurements are accurate and matching this up with a correct pair of boots. I have found the Easyboot website really helpful and made for some interesting reading - http://www.easycareinc.com/
They have some really helpful pages on there too which explain which style of boot to choose and what discipline each boot is best suited to - http://www.easycareinc.com/education/new_to_boots.aspx
Hope this helps and if you have any questions feel free to ask :)
