Hi All,

Have been resisting the temptation to post pics till i had some starting and 12 week pics so here we are-

When her shoes came off, trimmer and I took the decision to just remove her shoes and allow them to chip as they needed to, rather than weaken them further with our "idea" that they should look like.

Before the q's come, she is on Veteran Vitality, Linseed and Pro Hoof, 12 hour turnout and adlib hay when in.

So you have just removed pics and just trimmed last night at 12 weeks post barefoot.

I know its a long way to go but i think that there is a improvement, most amazingly no lameness at all :D

If anyone can do the clever drawing thing will send them all the chocolates that i cant eat as its lent :D

She looks like she is doing well.

Sole views are helpful too as it's the development of the frog that makes such a difference to a BF horse.

You don't mention how she is doing though? :)

Who is your trimmer to add to my 'recommended' list?

She's doing well, and the lack of lameness is great news. There's a vast improvement there of course :D

Your trimmer seems to believe quite strongly in having the feet ground passive at the sides. Lots of horses have feet like that, but I would caution being too quick to remove all the flare at this early stage. It may just be the photos, but it does appear to have thinned the hoof wall quite significantly.

Trimmer is Adi Pratt- Beds/Herts based.

Will get sole pics at weekend when i can do them in sunlight (hopefully)

She is doing super duper well. Am very pleased with her, feet are even going concave. If anything is happier to jump again!

Going great guns by the look of it but horsey she says YES! That's the important bit, she's comfortable and sound. :D

I've read many positives about Adi Pratt's work.
