Please explain to me how typing a horse up will teach him to be patient????
Bored, resentful, stroppy or a rope breaker maybe but patient????

Is this at my post???
I think you'll find I said to tie him up if he was being agressive towards her while she was in the stable. I never suggested it would make him patient I suggested it would make him safe.
I am absolutely stunned that someone else suggested whipping the horse or hitting it with a pipe (as if he were cattle no less, I appreciate this point was rescinded on further infromation
) and yet you choose to target my advice as ridiculous.
Having dealt with various degrees of the 'bargy horse' in the time I have worked at livery yards I can safely say tieing up whilst IN THE STABLE BESIDE them is the safest option until you can retrain the horse to respect your space.
I was in no way suggesting you should tie a horse up and leave it or that the tieing up process will make the horse patient (or happy but I'm sure I wouldn't be happy nursing a bruise from being bitten)
I hope you get to the root of your boys problem, such a shame he's being like this when he's usually so lovely, good luck
