Bann the bloody things except for large organised displays would be my favorite option......
Had all sorts from one that tried to CATCH them, one that sat at a window watching them and one that cra**ed himself the second he heard a bang.
ACP works wonders.Other then that try and soundproof the house(or one room) so the noise isnt so intence.
I haven't found ACP that helpful with my dog's terror of the fireworks. The thing that works the best for Bonnie is the DAP Diffuser. I don't know why it works but it does!
I agree, try a DAP diffuser. Other than that you need to show absolutely no reaction yourself to the fireworks, or it gives the dog the message that something alarming is going on.
Put the radio or TV on so there is some constant noise in the house. The bangs are less sudden then.
I must admit my dogs bark at fireworks when they first go off, but it's excitement rather than fear. They then settle down.
She is not frightened of the bangs (she's my brothers gundog), but she is very territorial and barks at any noises outside (just more noises when bloody fireworks are going off every 5 minutes).
Guessing DAP diffuser won't work as she isn't scared.
, then at least they could be restricted to a week or two, instead of a month or two.

[/ QUOTE ] That made me think, so last night moved her crate under the stairs (middle of house) and covered with sleeping bag to deaden more noise (left front uncovered) and she was much better, till my numpty brother let her out.
