My neighbours dogs bark non-stop. They would be approx 1/4 mile from me as the crow flies, with some fairly mature trees inbetween us, yet you can here them all the time.

Annoying as it is - and when I say non-stop, I have noted 3hrs solid, how on earth do they tolerate it when the dogs are 10/20 metres form their back door?

Also, they bark through the night. I have heard them when I go to bed at maybe 11pm, and even if you wake up in the night you can often hear them. Would it not drive you mad?

How many, what is their set up, and do the dogs ever get out and about? You could try your local council.
I can't have mine barking (unwarranted) for more than a few minutes without losing the bap!

TBH I'm not sure. They've got 2 or 3 Spangles and a couple of JRT's. I don't really have anything to do with them. They keep them in runs outside the back door, and I don't think they run free very often, certainly not together. They spend hours looking for them if they get out together, you hear them shouting for them, and occasionally they come up to mine asking if we've seen them.

I wouldn't report them or anything, as I can filter the noise out ( work in a Vets so do that on a daily basis), I just wonder why they don't do anything about it when its outside their back door!

My dog hardly ever barks (too dim) and a quick shhh stops him straight away. It would drive me mad if mine did it.

Dont know how you stand it and the owners obviously dont care. Suggest you contact the environmental health dept at your council. Luckily my dogs only bark when necessary and stop when told to.
