barley rings

Yes, feed them to a very hard keeper along with staypower cubes & beetpulp. He gets a level stubbs scoop a day and went from this....

They've never fizzed him up at all. My big mare also has them over winter for a bit extra condition & does very well.

wow, he looks fabby.

thanks for that, have just started big chap on them with his BOSS & cherry chaff[ fussy horse] in the bid to keep the weight he has now on him before the winter starts & he drops tons like last year.

Yup, I feed them to my elderly PBA as he started to drop weight earlier this year, saw a dramatic improvement very quickly.

Druid - wow, what a difference, he looks amazing.

I was just thinking of using them on my Welsh Sec A lead rein pony but was concerned they might blow him up anyone got any experience of feeding them with ponies?

I have used barley rings for ever!! I breed ponies and have never had any problem with either broodmares or youngstock, have also fed them to hunt horses that needed a bit "extra". mine love them dry but have given tham soaked to a fussy eater and she loved them. Also cannot speak to highly of topspec the most fantastic feed balancer ever

Horses for courses! Sent my normally placid gelding mental. Nutritionalist told me not to feed them to him again as not all horses can tolerate them. Should be obvious pretty quickly if it doesn't agree with your horse and hopefully effect should wear off pretty quickly once he comes off them if they don't suit (well mine did!). Worth a try certainly.
