Hello, I am trying to find out the value and any information about a Barnaby saddle. The serial is M 86 77 .
Any help would be most appreciated, thanks in advance!

What do you need to know? Did you mean Barnsby? If so Ideal bought them, they're now known as Barclay but they should have records of old ID numbers, no-one other than the maker is going to be able to give you info on an ID number. If Barnaby then I have no clue. Looks standard issue small workshop (no branding so makes it less likely you meant Barnsby) saddle in buffalo leather.

I have a Barnsby saddle which is embossed 'the official Pony Club saddle' or similar. The studs are also engraved 'Barnsby Saddlery' Interestingly, there is a hand stamped number which I assumed was a serial number and date 'S1973-98' each number is within a circle similar to the ones on OP's saddle. No point to this except both saddles are marked manually in a similar way. Also OP's is M and mine is S could that be Medium and Small for tree width before N, M and W ??

It doesn't look like the Pony Club (usually brown with caramel welting), a Barnsby badge and I think the seat is a different shape. The 6875 is the standard way of stamping a saddle flap. And no, tree widths have been N-M-W etc since before that saddle was made, the S and probably the M are to do with a unique ID, perhaps a maker, or a year, who knows.

As I said, you need to go to Ideal (or Barclay as that's what Barnsby has been renamed), they can look up the ID for you. It doesn't look like a Pony Club model at all, but equally it looks pretty old, may not be a standard model at all, and anything you find out about it may actually tell you nothing useful. Asking a fitter if it will fit your horse is ultimately usually more useful.
