I am looking at getting a curved girth for my mare who has a forward girth groove, but a lot of the ones I found seem to have very little curve to them. I have found this Barnsby one but it is pretty expensive, I am reluctant to spend too much as I'm not even sure it's going to make a difference (we have issues with saddle slipping forward).

Just wondered if anybody has used one and what you thought of it? Here is a link to it...

Thanks :-D

Never used this girth but own a leather barnsby girth & it's beautiful. Beautiful leather, lovely quality & my horse is comfortable in it.

Thanks, I am actually watching one of those girths on eBay!

I am quite keen to try a humane girth, as I'm finding with traditional girths that the pressure isn't very even. My mare has started moving away when I tighten the girth and I feel this is her telling me something isn't quite right. I wondered if she would find a humane one more comfortable...

bit late maybe but Ive got one of these for my Highland after trying a few others, love it. She is happy having it done up (can be girthy in some others) and seems very comfy in it.
