I am looking at getting a magnetic headpiece for my pony who is stiff through his poll to the left. He finds it very hard to flex at the poll to the left, and normally compensates by shifting his whole neck instead. I remember some debate about the magnetic headpieces and just wondered if anyone could let me know if they thought their's increased flexibility in any way? He has a magnetic/infra red rug which really makes a difference to him and wondered if the headpiece might be next step? He has regular massage and mctimoney and we have regular lessons with great instructor, but he does still block down that rein when he's finding things hard.

Thanks for any advice and/or feedback on them in advance!

Mine is definately still working. My horse is much softer through his poll. Ive tried riding with and without and there is a definate difference. Also sometimes when i lunge him i dont put it on before hand and he takes a good 15mins longer to relax down into the contact - whereas with the magnetic headpiece on when ive left it on for 30mins before hand he stretches into the contact immediately.

*does mad dance around the room* i have broadband at home now

- theres no getting rid of me!!

Yes mine has definately helped with flexion - sometimes i dont have time to put it on and leave it on for half an hour before hand and can definately feel a difference when i do !!

Will try it on my mare when she is back as well !!

Another definite yes for my lad - he's been using it since last summer and definitely helps.

OH put on on his mare a week or so ago and 'thinks' it's working (dammit was going to be mine so I could stop swapping it from headcollar to bridle
